Acute Care Jobs in ID
The difference between acute care and long-term nursing home stays can be difficult to understand. Acute facilities offer active treatments such as surgery or emergency room visits that last only briefly with the goal being restored health quickly, while long-term care hospitals aim more so at assisting someone who needs assistance living day by day without too much intervention from professionals.
An Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is a health care provider with specialized training who works in a variety of hospital settings. As an acute care nurse practitioner, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients. Your duties will include everything from providing vaccinations, to helping treat and prevent disease, to managing patient conditions in the intensive care unit (ICU). You'll also be expected to monitor patients' progress after they are discharged.
