Acute Care Jobs in WI
Immediate health care needs are accommodated in acute care facilities, a branch of secondary health care. In medical terms, this type of care is the opposite of primary care or long-term care. Acute medical needs should be met as quickly as possible in a facility that deals with them frequently since they require specific expertise.
An Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is someone who has completed a nursing program and is board certified in something very specific such as surgery or oncology. Not an assistant, though sometimes that is how they are referred to. They work under the supervision of an attending physician and are responsible for patient care as well as patient education.
