Ohio’s capital, originally located in Chillicothe and Zanesville, was finally established in 1816 in newly formed downtown Columbus. The state is named after the Ohio River back in time to its name. Iroquois, meaning “great water”. On March 1, 1803, Ohio, the first state drawn from the Northwest Territories, became the 17th member of the Union. In many ways, Ohio reflects the urbanized, industrialized, and racially mixed America that developed during the early agricultural era.
The model of his life is so representative of the country as a whole that it is often used to test views, ideas, and commercial products.
