CNA Jobs in OR

Oregon is bordered to the north by the state of Washington, from which it receives water from the Columbia River; east of Idaho, more than half of whose boundary is formed by the meandering Snake River and Hell Canyon; south of Nevada and California, with which Oregon shares its mountain and desert systems; and to the west by the Pacific Ocean, which creates the temperate climate of Oregon’s western lands. The capital is Salem, in the northwestern part of the state. Admitted as the 33rd state on February 14, 1859, Oregon covers an area of astounding physical diversity, from the tropical rainforests, mountains, and fertile valleys of its western third to the naturally arid and climatically harsh eastern deserts. Mountains, plateaus, plains, and valleys from various geologic and material eras are found in countless combinations, including natural wonders such as the Columbia River Gorge, the Oregon Caverns National Monument, Crater Lake National Park, the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Cascade Range, and the central “moon country » Oregon (lava fields that served as a training ground for astronauts in the US space program in the 1960s).

The name Oregon is believed to be of Native American origin. The wooded mountains of western and northeastern Oregon have traditionally been the backbone of the state’s economy. Its many lumber industries produce most of the country’s sawn softwood, most soft plywood, and large amounts of fibreboard, pulp and paper. Nationally, Oregon ranks first or close to all states in the production of wood products.

In addition, the multipurpose development of the Columbia River system provides vast amounts of electricity, water for irrigation and industry, navigable canals, and water for recreation. However, the heart of Oregon is the Willamette River Valley, which is home to the major cities of Portland, Eugene, and Salem, as well as rich and varied agriculture.
