CNA Jobs in AZ

Arizona is a state in the southwestern region of the United States. It is also part of the Western and the Mountain states. It is the sixth largest and the 14th most populous of the 50 states. Its capital and largest city is Phoenix. Arizona shares the Four Corners region with Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico; its other neighboring states are Nevada and California to the west and the Mexican states of Sonora and Baja California to the south and southwest.

Arizona is the 48th state and last of the contiguous states to be admitted to the Union, achieving statehood on February 14, 1912. Initially part of the territory of New Mexico, it was admitted to the Union as the 48th state on February 14, 1912. Arizona is one of two U.S. states that were once part of the territory of all three countries that have claimed the region: Spain, Mexico, and the United States. It was inhabited by Native Americans for centuries before it was explored by Spanish explorers in 1539.

It was then claimed by several countries before being progressively settled by the United States beginning with the Mexicans who gained independence in 1821 following the Mexican War of Independence. The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848 established the United States as owner of this territory.

The northernmost portion of the state was acquired by the United States from Spain as part of the Gadsden Purchase. The southern boundary is along the 109th meridian west south, with its eastern boundary defined along the 114th meridian west south, to its intersection with the 39th parallel north.
