Originally established as part of the University Extension Program at Denver's Metropolitan State College in 1969 by President John Swicegood (a former Sylvan student), it now offers over 650 courses to more than 10 thousand students every year from all around Colorado who are looking for an educational opportunity outside their home district or county.
