Continuing Care Retirement Community Jobs in IA
The continuum of care provided by a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) enables residents to have independent living as long as possible, and provides for nursing assistance if and when it is needed. Although these facilities are typically populated by individuals 80 years old or older, they are sometimes used by younger couples who desire a different type of living arrangement that allows them to maintain a strong relationship despite their differing levels of physical and mental health.
The number of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) in the United States has increased to about 1,200 facilities, and people continue to move into these nonprofit and for-profit facilities. Eligibility requirements specify a minimum age, as well as a certain level of health and finances. As the number of CCRC residents grows, so does the number of people who meet these requirements.
