Home Health Jobs in SD
In-home care is a form of health care that includes services such as personal care, homemaking, and medical supply support. It can be provided by either a professional caregiver or a trained patient.
Home health care includes a wide range of health services that can be given in your home for an illness or injury. This care is usually less expensive and more convenient than care you get in a hospital or skilled nursing facility.
In-home care services include any professional support for a person who is aging and needs assistance to live independently, or for someone who has chronic health issues or special needs. Professional caregivers such as nurses, aides, and therapists can provide short-term or long-term care in the home.
There are three tiers of home health care nurses, based upon one's credentials and experience—registered nurses (RNs), licensed vocational nurses (LVNs), and nurse assistants. These usually function under a facility-based system to report their daily assignments and then drive to their patients' homes to provide prescribed nursing care.
