Intermediate Care Jobs in MI
Intermediate care facilities provide nursing and supportive services to residents who are too unstable for home or traditional skilled long-term healthcare. These ICFs can be an excellent option when it comes time to take responsibility for one's health, but don't want the hassle of living independently in an apartment with no family nearby willing/able to take care of them day to day.
Nurses in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provide medical care for patients who are in a serious condition and need a high level of expertise that can only be provided by professionals. Their work involves administering medicines to patients, keeping track of vitals such as temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration, and changing bandages when necessary.
Above all, the ICU environment is a critically functioning operational environment. Above a patient's bed, there will be several monitors to show their vital signs and other alarms and tones that are needed to provide the necessary care.
