New Hampshire is a state located in the New England region of the northeastern United States of America. It is bordered by Massachusetts to the south, Vermont to the west, Maine and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and Quebec, Canada, beyond that. The capital is Concord (population 42,695), located in south-central New Hampshire.

The state is notable for its mountains and forests, its beautiful lakes and rivers, and its historic sites. It is also known for its presidential primary elections, which attract more than 1 million voters every four years to the polls.

New Hampshire has many different landscapes within its borders. There are high mountains, rolling hills in the north and central areas, a large lake in the northwest corner called Lake Winnipesaukee, a series of medium-sized lakes in the southern portion called The Great North Woods. In the far-eastern area, there are flatlands that have been built up with many old-time New England towns. These small rural communities each have their own charm.

New Hampshire is also known for its forest land which is some of the most beautiful in the country, with many trails to explore and campgrounds that are open all year round.

New Hampshire has historically had a strong economy, though it suffered during the recession of 2008 like many other states. Many different types of jobs are available to the people of New Hampshire. There are many different colleges in New Hampshire that attract students from all over the country to live there while they attend school. Tourism is also a major part of the New Hampshire economy, with many people coming to visit The Great North Woods and its beautiful lakes while spending money at local shops, lodges, and restaurants.

New Hampshire is a great state to work in the IT sector, with many companies located throughout the entire state from Portsmouth all the way up to Lebanon and there is an abundance of call centers for people wishing to pursue a career in that industry. The healthcare field is also very strong here at home and jobs can be found pretty much anywhere.
