RN Jobs in UT

Utah’s population is concentrated in two areas, the first being Salt Lake City, which is home to more than a third of the state’s residents. The second is St. George, Utah, Louisiana, another high concentration area on the border between southern Utah and Nevada; it has a large Mormon population and has become one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country. Utah is the second-largest state in the United States but ranks 28th among the 28 most populous states. Compared to larger states like Texas and California, Utah has a smaller population. Nearly three-quarters of Utah’s residents live in cities or towns along the Wasatch Front, a stretch of valleys and reservoirs that stretches from Ogden in the north to Provo and Salt Lake City in the south, a major center of trade.

The percentage of Mormons in Utah has been one of, if not the highest, for over 100 years. Recent census data showed that approximately 62% of the state’s residents are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). However, the percentage of Utah residents who are Mormons varies greatly by county. In the eastern part of the state, in an area known as the “Valley of Utah”, which includes Provo and Orem, more than 70% of the population belong to the Mormon church; however, in some northern and western counties (such as Box Elder and Weber), this percentage drops to 10–15%.

Utah is located in the south-central United States, an area known as the “Southwest”. Utah extends north into the so-called Cache Valley, a physical depression carved into sedimentary rock. The Wasatch Mountains bisect this valley from east to west, before rising rapidly to higher elevations. The second range is also the northern edge of the Colorado Plateau, where rivers cut deep canyons through sedimentary rocks beginning about 2 million years ago.

They consist almost exclusively of sandstone and limestone deposited as sediment in the seas about 200-500 million years ago. The mixture also contains igneous rocks, which were introduced into the depths in the form of hot magmatic bodies.

The Colorado River flows through the entire region towards the Gulf of California.
