Additionally, clinicians must provide proof of licensure, certification, or registration. Our app guarantees that clinicians’ licenses are verified before they can request shifts. Clinicians’ licenses are verified through NURSYS, Nurse Aide Registries, and/or state databases.

Passing a background check and holding an active license are bare minimum requirements.

Clinicians have a maximum number of early and late call outs before their accounts are frozen. Five late call outs by clinicians in a 60-day rolling period will result in account deactivation, resulting in permanent loss of access to the Nursa platform.

No-shows are even more strictly penalized.

1099 staffing model

When these clinicians pick up PRN jobs, they work as independent contractors under the 1099 staffing model. This means facilities do not pay for PRN clinicians’ health insurance, Social Security, or other employee benefits. PRN clinicians cover their own income and self-employment taxes.
