What is Nursa?

Nursa is a nationwide platform that exists to put a nurse at the bedside of every patient in need quickly and safely, removing the financial strain and operation gaps of traditional staffing methods.

Hospitals, health systems and skilled nursing facilities secure reliable, qualified nursing talent in real time, while clinicians pick up flexible shifts on their own terms. Central Staffing by Nursa extends that technology to help facilities manage their broader workforce schedules, and Nursa Study helps nursing schools secure and manage clinical placements for students.

Founded in Salt Lake City in 2019, Nursa is accredited by The Joint Commission and trusted by more than 4,500 facilities and 500,000 nurses nationwide.

How does Nursa work?

Nursa connects the people who keep healthcare running: facilities that need staff, clinicians who want control of their schedule, and nursing schools preparing the next generation of nurses.

For clinicians

‍RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and allied health professionals browse open shifts at facilities near them, with pay posted upfront. Pick up a single per diem shift, book a block of shifts for steadier hours or travel work, or apply to full-time roles with your credentials already attached. There are no minimum commitments, so you work as much or as little as you want.

For facilities

Facilities post the coverage they need, from a last-minute per diem shift to a permanent position, then review interested clinicians and choose who to schedule. With Central Staffing, facilities can build compliant schedules for their internal team, post to the Marketplace to cover gaps, and manage call-outs, swaps, and time-off requests.

For nursing schools and students

Nursa Study helps schools coordinate clinical placements with partner sites, track student compliance, and keep every rotation on schedule. Students see where they’re placed and what they still need to graduate on time.
