CNA ICU Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery of specialized care to critically ill patients under the guidance of the nursing staff
  • Monitor and record vital signs, fluid intake/output, and other patient information accurately
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional status to nursing staff
  • Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care delivery
  • Provide personal care and perform hygiene tasks for patients, maintaining their comfort and dignity
  • Assist in the setup of medical equipment and assist during procedures
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized ICU environment
  • Offer emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times

Facility Requirements:

  • Current, active CNA certification in this state
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Previous experience in an ICU or critical care setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle complex medical equipment
  • Compassionate nature and a desire to provide the highest level of care to patients
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety measures
  • Ability to provide physical assistance to patients as needed
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on facility needs
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to different healthcare facilities within the area
