CNA Jobs in NE

Nebraska joined the Union as the 37th state on March 1, 1867. Northern Nebraska is bordered by South Dakota, with the Missouri River covering about a quarter of that border and the entire eastern part of Nebraska’s borders with Iowa and Missouri. The southern border with Kansas was established when the two territories were created under the Kansas-Nebraska Act in 1854. In the southwest of the state, the Colorado borders form a right angle (south and west), forming a handle. Nebraska, west of the border with Wyoming.

Lincoln, in the southeastern part of the state, is the capital. As one of the Midwestern states of the United States, Nebraska was the principal staging post for those who migrated to the wealthy trapper nations of the north and west, and to the settlements and mountain frontiers of the mountain and Pacific regions. half of the 19th century. With the development of the railroads after the American Civil War (1861-65) and subsequent immigration, Nebraska’s fertile soils were plowed up and pastures developed. As a result, the state has been a major food producer since the formation of the state.

Rivers are important to the geography and settlement of Nebraska. Most Nebraskans live near the Missouri and Platte Rivers, and much of the state is sparsely populated. The Missouri River was an important highway crossing west of the Mississippi River in the early 19th century. The Platte River has also played an important role in Nebraska’s history. In fact, the state’s name comes from the Hindi word Oto Nebrathka (“flat water”), which refers to Platte.
