Hepatitis B Vaccine or Titer Declination credentials are medical credentials issued by Healthcare Administration (HCA). The credentials are available to all healthcare providers who meet the criteria for safe and effective aerosol transmission prevention of infectious diseases like Hepatitis B. The credential is a document or record which certifies that the healthcare provider has received appropriate training with respect to the recognition of aerosol transmission prevention and the use of appropriate strategies, techniques, and technologies to reduce the risk of transmitting these diseases.
The credentialing process requires that the healthcare provider review their training history and provide documentation to HCA verifying that they have participated in and completed training specific to aerosol transmission prevention and/or their ability to complete Hepatitis B vaccinations. Furthermore, the healthcare provider must provide evidence of completing a valid titer test and show that the titer has an acceptable level of protection. This evidence will then be reviewed and evaluated by HCA in order to determine if the healthcare provider is eligible to receive the credential.
