We will provide you with a checklist to be initialed by PRN, our staff on-site, and a manager or a director for compensation to be approved.

DO NOT ACCEPT SHIFT if worked at another facility within 24 hours.

As a PRN (as-needed) staff member at Olimpia Senior Care, maintaining professionalism and focus during your shift is essential. The following activities are strictly prohibited while on the clock to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents:

Strictly Prohibited While On the Clock:

• Sitting unless required for care-related tasks: PRN staff must remain active and attentive, only sitting during approved duties like assisting residents or completing documentation.
• Watching TV or streaming services: Entertainment or personal media consumption is prohibited during working hours.
• Completing personal homework: Personal academic or other non-work-related tasks are prohibited during your shift.
• Excessive chatting with staff: Social interactions must not interfere with duties or the care provided to residents.
• Leaving the facility: Staff must remain on-site for the duration of their shift unless authorized by management in an emergency.
• Using social media: Personal use of social platforms is prohibited while on duty.
• Using your phone: Phones may only be used during designated breaks or for urgent work-related matters.
• Standing around or aimlessly walking: All movements and activities should be purposeful and centered on resident care or facility needs.
• We do not allow PRNs to start their shift right after an overnight shift. You must be off the day before our shift. 

Adherence to these guidelines ensures a professional environment and quality resident care.

Responsibilities Include:

• Administering oral and topical medications to residents as directed by facility policy and care plans.
• House Cleaning, Turning bed bound residents, preparing tables for Breakfast, lunch, dinner
• Cleaning resident restrooms, mopping restrooms, the entire facility, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Clean window seals inside and outside, dust furniture, and laundry, and clean kitchen and kitchen counters.
• Adhering to all facility policies and procedures, including maintaining a smoke-free environment.
• Following instructions from the on-site manager and actively anticipating resident needs.
• Assisting residents with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and being on your feet throughout most of the shift.

Breaks are 1 30-minute uninterrupted break when discussed with other staff members, and no resident is in need of help.
