Healthcare workers, such as nurses, nursing assistants, and medication aides, provide care to patients under the supervision and guidance of nursing managers or physicians. Nursa clinicians can work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted-living facilities (ALFs), nursing and residential care facilities, physicians’ offices, home healthcare services, and more.

Responsibilities might include:

A clinician’s duties can vary significantly based on their license type, work setting, and additional certifications or specialization, among other factors. Allowing for these variations, the following are typical responsibilities of healthcare workers:

Provide patient care
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Document patient care and maintain health records
Maintain patient confidentiality
Listen to patients, comfort them, and communicate any relevant information to supervisors
Observe, record, and report changes in a patient’s condition to supervisors
Collaborate with the rest of the healthcare team
Maintain safety standards and infection control procedures
Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures

This facility was formerly named Randolph Gardens. It will still have that sign on the front door when you arrive.

Please come in 15 minutes early. Check in with the supervisor to get your clock punch in number, PCC log-in, and orientation packet for first time staff. Please take a picture of all log-in information (on sticky note) and time card for future shifts. Please call 704-364-8363 if you are running late. All staff must take a mandatory 30 minute break during shifts as per North Carolina law. Please be sure to complete POC documentation before you leave.

We have two units at our facility -- East Wing (Rehab Unit; in front entrance to the right) & West Wing (Long Term Hall; starts at room 136; in front entrance to the left). Most rooms are semi-private. Ratios to expect are CNAs ~1:8-10.

About Required Healthcare License:‍

Requirements to work as a nursing assistant can vary significantly from state to state.
