Curtis Anderson, Nursa’s Founder and CEO, appeared on NYSE’s Floor Talk with Judy Shaw this week to discuss Nursa’s mission and what sets Nursa apart in the healthcare staffing space.
Anderson shared how Nursa utilizes technology to improve and streamline the traditional healthcare staffing model, which is composed of multiple parties or layers between the nurse looking for work and the managers of healthcare facilities who need nurses to fill staffing gaps.
“As a platform, we compress all of those layers—that adult game of telephone—into a digital switchboard where we directly connect the nurse to the manager and create better working relationships.”
What Sets Nursa Apart?
According to Anderson, three main qualities set Nursa apart from other players in the healthcare staffing industry:
- Nursa allows nursing professionals and healthcare facilities to engage in a “trial run.” With no restrictions on communication between PRN nursing clinicians and healthcare facility managers, when a match for a PRN shift is successful, the relationship may transition into a formal in-house job for the nurse. Nursa encourages and facilitates positive long-term working relationships for quality patient care.
- Nursa pays quickly and provides payment choices. Nursa’s PRN clinicians can even receive same-day pay.
- Nursa has local facility partner teams in place so that healthcare facility managers receive support and strategic problem-solving from professionals who know and understand managers’ specific challenges.
Nursa is filling PRN shifts in more than 35 states and supporting more than 200,000 nurses and nursing assistants nationwide. Watch the full interview here.
