In August of 2022, Lori became a contributing writer at Nursa, covering medical topics such as finances, nursing FAQs, product updates, nursing specialties, resource guides, healthcare news, and continuing nursing education. She worked in long-term care with senior adults and later with children and families until transitioning from direct practice to risk assessment. This honed her research and writing skills and led to her interest in writing as a career.
Lori is a small-town, born-and-raised Kansas girl with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas. After eight years as a social worker, Lori followed her heart to Germany, where she started a family and started writing long-form content in specialty markets, including sustainability, natural medicine, and travel nursing.
