University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota, is a private four-year Catholic university with a School of Nursing. Its nursing programs center on baccalaureate and graduate preparation, including prelicensure BSN study. Students build skills in health assessment, pharmacology, evidence-based practice, leadership, communication, patient-centered care, and community health through classroom learning and supervised clinical experience.
Graduates are prepared for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. The School of Nursing offers a more personal learning environment than many larger Twin Cities programs, while still connecting students to regional health care partners for clinical training. The program is CCNE-accredited.
