Good Shepherd - Onboarding Complete Confirmation REQUIRED

Good Shepherd requires orientation before a clinician works a shift. It is one part of the onboarding the facility runs rather than the whole of it, and completion sits on your Nursa profile with your other nursing credentials.

What does the orientation cover?

The building and the policies behind it.

  • Layout, supply locations, and where emergency equipment is kept
  • Emergency codes, fire response, and evacuation routes
  • Infection control practice and personal protective equipment
  • Patient rights and abuse prevention
  • Documentation standards and how handoff runs at shift change

Does finishing orientation mean you are cleared to work?

Not on its own. Good Shepherd tracks a separate confirmation that its onboarding process is complete, and orientation is one input to that rather than the finish line. A clinician who works through every module and then goes looking for shifts can find nothing available, not because orientation failed but because the confirmation has not been issued yet. Treat completion as progress rather than as clearance.

What should you do while waiting?

Work the other items in parallel rather than in sequence. Health documentation, background screening, and signed agreements each move on their own timeline, and none of them wait for orientation to finish. Clinicians who work through the list one item at a time add weeks for no reason. Start the slow ones first, since orientation is usually the piece you control entirely.

Complete your orientation

This training belongs to Good Shepherd rather than an outside certifying body, so it reflects their building and does not transfer elsewhere.

Find the orientation in ShiftReady and finish every module, then record it:

  1. Tap Menu in the top left of the Nursa app.
  2. Select Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Credentials section.
  4. Tap Add your Credential.
  5. Upload your document as a PDF, WORD, JPG, or PNG.

Sign up as a clinician and start orientation early, since it is the one part of onboarding that moves at your pace.

Testimonial about Nursa

A better control of my time!”

“I love that I can choose my schedule and not stress so much about work. I also love that I can be responsible for my own work. I now feel like I get treated the way I deserve and still make a huge difference in my patients’ lives.”

Testimonial about Nursa from the real users

Nursa is always there for me!”

“I love the easy user-friendly app with clear pictures and information about a facility. I work with other agencies and the Nursa app is most visually appealing! The best thing about Nursa though is the professional attitude of the staff whenever you call or need help. Again, surpasses other agencies”
