Mountain Valley Regional Rehabilitation Hospital | Confidentiality & Data Security Agreement

Mountain Valley Regional Rehabilitation Hospital requires a confidentiality and data security agreement before you access patient information there. It covers expectations rather than employment terms, and it sits with your other nursing credentials.

How is this different from an employment contract?

It is narrower, and it is not about the work itself. An employment contract establishes the role and its scope, the hours, the pay, the benefits. A confidentiality agreement establishes the rules around patient information and the records that hold it. It speaks to how you handle what you see rather than to the job you do, which is why many facilities ask for one even from people who do not work for them directly.

What does signing it commit you to?

The safeguards that already attach to your license. A confidentiality agreement is a reminder with a signature line, not a new obligation. It puts in writing that you understand what information is protected, how it may be used and disclosed, how to keep it secure on the facility's systems and devices, and what to do if a breach occurs. The commitment is to the patient and to the record, not to the building.

Why does it get signed every year?

Because it does not automatically renew. Most facilities ask for a fresh signature annually rather than keeping an old agreement on file indefinitely, and some tie it to an annual refresher training. Expect to see it come up on a regular cycle, and expect a recently signed version to be the one a facility wants on record.

Adding it to your profile

Upload the signed agreement, making sure it is the version that bears your signature and the date you signed.

  1. Tap Menu in the top left of the Nursa app.
  2. Select Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Credentials section.
  4. Tap Add your Credential.
  5. Upload your document.

Sign up as a clinician and note the date when you sign it, since an out-of-date agreement leaves the credential incomplete.

Testimonial about Nursa from the real users

Nursa is always there for me!”

“I love the easy user-friendly app with clear pictures and information about a facility. I work with other agencies and the Nursa app is most visually appealing! The best thing about Nursa though is the professional attitude of the staff whenever you call or need help. Again, surpasses other agencies”
