National Health Care Associates Inc. | Orientation

National Health Care Associates requires orientation before a clinician works a shift at any of its facilities. It is a group-level training covering all NHCA locations, and completion becomes a credential on your Nursa profile.

What does group-level orientation cover?

The rules and procedures that hold across the entire organization:

  • Compliance standards for clinicians working on a per diem basis
  • Resident rights, abuse prevention, and reporting duties
  • Infection control policies and personal protective equipment
  • Emergency response, evacuation, and disaster procedures
  • Documentation practices and medical records handling

These are the elements that do not change from one National facility to another, so one orientation can establish them for every building.

What does it leave to the individual facility?

The details that apply only to that site:

  • Building layout, supply room locations, crash cart placement
  • Unit-specific charting and handoff procedures
  • Facility emergency codes and contact numbers
  • Local leaders, chain of command, and shift supervisors

Expect to learn these on arrival at each building, even when you've already completed the group training. Having the shared foundation in place lets the facility focus on what's unique about their site.

How long does it take?

A few hours, rarely more than an evening. Group-level orientations are built to be completed independently, without an instructor, so you can fit the modules around your existing shifts and commitments. Once you begin, aim to finish in one sitting rather than spreading it across days or weeks — the training is easier to absorb as one continuous story than as disconnected pieces.

Complete your orientation

This training belongs to National Health Care Associates as a group, not to any single facility. It reflects how the organization operates across all its sites, and completion clears you for shifts at any National location.

Find the National orientation in ShiftReady and work through every module, then record it:

  1. Tap Menu in the top left of the Nursa app.
  2. Select Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Credentials section.
  4. Tap Add your Credential.
  5. Upload your document.

Sign up as a clinician and get group-level orientation done before you start eyeing shifts, so you're ready to go when an appealing one posts.

Testimonial about Nursa

A better control of my time!”

Testimonial about Nursa from the real users

Nursa is always there for me!”

“I love the easy user-friendly app with clear pictures and information about a facility. I work with other agencies and the Nursa app is most visually appealing! The best thing about Nursa though is the professional attitude of the staff whenever you call or need help. Again, surpasses other agencies”
