Clinicians planning to work at a Sandstone Healthcare Group location may be asked to complete an orientation first. It introduces the operator’s way of doing things so clinicians arrive already familiar with how its buildings run.
When does orientation usually happen?
Most operators ask for orientation before a clinician’s first shift rather than on the day. Completing it ahead of time keeps the first shift focused on patient care instead of paperwork and introductions. Timing can vary by location, so the shift posting is the best place to check.
Why do operators require their own orientation?
A license or certification shows that a clinician is qualified in general. It doesn’t explain where supplies are kept, how a facility handles call lights, or which forms it uses for documentation. Operator orientation covers that gap, which helps clinicians who are new to a building settle in faster.
Is orientation a one-time record?
Usually, orientation is completed once per operator. Some facilities ask clinicians to repeat it after a long gap between shifts or when policies change significantly. Sandstone Healthcare Group decides how long a completed orientation stays current, so it’s worth confirming with the facility if a record seems out of date.
