Licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) are nurses who perform basic patient care tasks and help keep patients comfortable. They work under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and other doctors.

Being an LVN is not always easy, often the recognition given to an LVN is less, and the opinions of an LVN may seem to be worth less than those of a Registered Nurse (RN). LVNs who pick up per diem jobs in Houston also work alongside certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and other healthcare professionals.
