Bethel College

Bethel College provides a rigorous, faith-integrated nursing education that prepares students for the complexities of modern rural and urban healthcare. The primary offering is the traditional four-year BSN, which accepts approximately 46 students into the professional clinical sequence each fall. For high-achieving high school seniors, Bethel offers an Early Acceptance program, which guarantees a spot in the clinical track provided they maintain a 3.5 GPA during their prerequisite years. The curriculum is distinguished by its 129-hour requirement that weaves nursing science together with the liberal arts, emphasizing clinical judgment, ethical decision-making, and "servant leadership."

The learning environment at Bethel is defined by its high-tech simulation and virtual reality (VR) integration. Students train in a specialized nursing lab that mimics a hospital setting, using simulation to master procedures before ever touching a patient. Uniquely, Bethel nursing students begin their clinical rotations during their sophomore year, providing them with three full years of hands-on experience in settings ranging from Newton Medical Center to major systems in nearby Wichita. The program culminates in a 135-hour senior preceptorship where students work one-on-one with a practicing RN.
