Seattle Pacific University is a private, four-year Christian university in Seattle, Washington. Its nursing offerings center on a Bachelor of Science in Nursing that combines classroom study, skills practice, and supervised clinical experience. Students build core competencies in patient assessment, evidence-based care, communication, leadership, ethics, community health, and holistic nursing practice.
The BSN program is designed to prepare students for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam and for entry-level practice as registered nurses. SPU’s Seattle location gives students access to a major health-care community for clinical learning, while the university’s smaller setting can offer close faculty support and a personal learning environment. Compared with larger nearby nursing programs, SPU stands out for its faith-based approach and emphasis on compassionate, service-oriented care.
