Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences, known as SoutheastHEALTH College of Nursing & Health Sciences, is a small private college in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. It offers a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing along with associate degrees in Nursing, Arts, and Radiologic Technology. Enrollment is intentionally modest, with roughly 150 undergraduate students across full- and part-time study, allowing for close faculty contact throughout the program.
Nursing students combine classroom coursework with lab instruction and clinical rotations at Southeast Hospital, the college's affiliated health system, giving them direct exposure to patient care settings before graduation. The curriculum builds core nursing competencies in patient assessment, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based care, and the college accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year.
The baccalaureate nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and the college holds institutional accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission. That dual accreditation, paired with direct ties to a regional hospital system, gives graduates a clear path toward RN licensure and local employment in southeast Missouri.
