Autumn Lake Healthcare at Homewood | Independent Contractor Agreement

Homewood asks for a signed independent contractor agreement before your first shift at the building. It is paperwork rather than training, and the signed copy sits on your Nursa profile with your license and your other nursing credentials.

Does signing limit where else you can work?

Ordinarily no. Independent contractor status rests on the opposite premise, that you work for yourself and choose who you take shifts with, which is why clinicians commonly pick up at several buildings and groups. Read the document rather than assuming. If you find exclusivity or non-compete language, ask Homewood what it means before signing.

How is this different from the orientation requirement?

They are different kinds of thing, and you need both. Autumn Lake's orientation is training with content to work through. The agreement is a document you sign. Clearing either leaves the other outstanding on your profile.

What if your name or license changes after signing?

Update your profile first, then check whether the agreement still matches it. A legal name change or a new license number can leave a signed document that no longer lines up with your credentials, and a mismatch is worth resolving before it holds up a shift. Homewood may ask for a fresh signature instead of an amendment.

Who do you ask about the agreement?

Questions about the terms go to Homewood, since the building wrote the document and is the other party to it. Questions about uploading, verification status, or a credential that will not clear go to Nursa. Sorting out which you have saves a round trip.

Adding it to your profile

Nothing to study, nothing to pass. You upload the signed agreement and it becomes a credential.

  1. Tap Menu in the top left of the Nursa app.
  2. Select Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Credentials section.
  4. Tap Add your Credential.
  5. Upload your signed agreement as a PDF, WORD, JPG, or PNG.

Sign up as a clinician and get Homewood's paperwork settled before a shift you want turns up.

Testimonial about Nursa from the real users

Nursa is always there for me!”

“I love the easy user-friendly app with clear pictures and information about a facility. I work with other agencies and the Nursa app is most visually appealing! The best thing about Nursa though is the professional attitude of the staff whenever you call or need help. Again, surpasses other agencies”
