Autumn Lake Healthcare at Ruxton | Independent Contractor Agreement

Ruxton requires a signed independent contractor agreement before you take a shift at the building. It is one of the faster items on a credential list, since there is nothing to study, and it sits on your Nursa profile with your license and your other nursing credentials.

How is this different from a travel contract?

A travel assignment commits you to a block of weeks at one facility, usually arranged by an agency that handles the placement and the schedule. This is the opposite arrangement. The agreement sets terms for shifts you may or may not take, with no assignment length, no minimum, and no one arranging anything on your behalf. You sign once, then pick up at Ruxton whenever a posted shift suits you.

Why is a signed document treated as a credential?

Because facilities gate shift access on it the same way they gate access on a license. A credential list is not limited to certifications and cards. It covers everything a building needs on file before it lets a clinician work, and a signed agreement qualifies, which is why it appears next to your certifications rather than in a separate paperwork queue.

Is it worth signing for a single shift?

If you want that shift, yes, and the math improves after it. The agreement is a one-time step rather than something you repeat per shift, so signing for one shift at Ruxton also clears the way for every future shift the building posts. Clinicians who sign for a single Saturday often end up working the building regularly, because the barrier is already behind them.

Adding it to your profile

Upload the signed document and the credential is done. There is nothing to renew and nothing to pass.

  1. Tap Menu in the top left of the Nursa app.
  2. Select Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Credentials section.
  4. Tap Add your Credential.
  5. Upload your signed agreement as a PDF, WORD, JPG, or PNG.

Sign up as a clinician and clear Ruxton's one-time paperwork so the building's shifts are open from here on.

A better control of my time!”

Testimonial about Nursa from the real users

Nursa is always there for me!”

“I love the easy user-friendly app with clear pictures and information about a facility. I work with other agencies and the Nursa app is most visually appealing! The best thing about Nursa though is the professional attitude of the staff whenever you call or need help. Again, surpasses other agencies”
