Facilities set their own policies on COVID-19 testing, and some may ask clinicians for results before approving them to pick up shifts. On a credential list it sits among the items that are uploaded rather than completed.
Which facilities ask for it
That varies, and it has changed considerably over time. Requirements differ by state, by care setting, and by operator, so a building that asks for results may sit a few miles from one that does not. The credential list attached to a PRN job is where the answer shows for that particular shift.
What counts as a result
Facilities differ on this too. Some accept an antigen result, some ask for a laboratory report, and what appears on the documentation itself varies by where the test was done. Where a posting is ambiguous, the facility is the one that can say.
Results age in a way most credentials do not
An orientation stays completed. A test result describes one day, and facilities asking for one usually have a recency window in mind. For a clinician requesting shifts across several buildings, that can mean the same uploaded result satisfies one facility and falls outside another's window, depending on when each shift lands.
Adding the credential to your profile
- Navigate to your Profile in the Nursa app.
- Locate Credentials on your profile view.
- Select the "+" button.
- Select "Add Credential."
- Select the credential you want to add.
- Follow the instructions to add your credential.
