Good Shepherd | Orientation

This credential is Good Shepherd's confirmation that your onboarding is finished. It is a sign-off rather than a task, and it is marked required, so there is no alternative route to a Good Shepherd shift. It sits with your other nursing credentials.

What does the confirmation actually confirm?

That the facility's process is complete, rather than any single item inside it. Most credentials on your profile document one thing: a card, a course, a signed page. This one records that Good Shepherd has reviewed everything it asked for and considers you cleared. It is the difference between having done the work and having the facility agree that you have.

Why is it a separate credential?

Because completing the parts does not automatically produce the whole. A clinician can finish every module, sign every form, and still be waiting on someone at the facility to confirm it. Tracking the confirmation on its own makes that gap visible rather than leaving you to assume you are cleared while the last piece is still outstanding.

What usually has to be done first?

The individual items the confirmation rests on.

  • Facility orientation, often delivered through ShiftReady
  • Any signed agreements or acknowledgments
  • Health documentation the facility requires
  • Background screening results
  • Role-specific competencies where they apply

What if the confirmation does not arrive?

Chase the facility rather than your own profile. Everything upstream may be complete while the hold-up sits with whoever issues the sign-off, and that is not something re-uploading a document will fix. Ask who confirms onboarding at that building and follow up with them directly. It is the one credential on your list where the final step belongs to someone else.

Adding it to your profile

Upload the confirmation Good Shepherd provides once onboarding closes out.

  1. Tap Menu in the top left of the Nursa app.
  2. Select Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Credentials section.
  4. Tap Add your Credential.
  5. Upload your document as a PDF, WORD, JPG, or PNG.

Sign up as a clinician and check that the last step actually happened rather than assuming it followed the rest.

Testimonial about Nursa

A better control of my time!”

Testimonial about Nursa from the real users

Nursa is always there for me!”

“I love the easy user-friendly app with clear pictures and information about a facility. I work with other agencies and the Nursa app is most visually appealing! The best thing about Nursa though is the professional attitude of the staff whenever you call or need help. Again, surpasses other agencies”
