With an aging population and advancements in medical technology, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities need competent and skilled nurses to meet the growing demand for healthcare services.

In Ammon, the demand for nurses is exceptionally high due to the rapid growth of the city's population. The nursing demand in all of Idaho is also on the rise. According to the Idaho Nursing Workforce Center, the state is projected to have a significant shortage of nurses by 2025. This is due to factors such as an aging nursing workforce, high retirement rates, and a need for nursing faculty to educate the next generation of nurses.

Idaho has implemented various initiatives to address this shortage to attract and retain nurses. These include loan forgiveness programs, tuition reimbursement, scholarships for nursing students, and increased funding for nursing education programs. Additionally, there has been a push for increased awareness and promotion of nursing as a rewarding and fulfilling career option. With these efforts in place, it is expected that the demand for nurses in Ammon and throughout Idaho will continue to be met in the coming years.
