Spalding University is a private, four-year Catholic university in Louisville, Kentucky, with nursing education centered on its main campus and online options for some pathways. Its School of Nursing prepares students for baccalaureate study, including traditional BSN and RN-to-BSN tracks, with accelerated options for second-degree students.
Students build core skills in patient-centered care, health assessment, pharmacology, evidence-based practice, communication, ethics, leadership, and clinical judgment through classroom learning, simulation, skills labs, and supervised clinical rotations. The curriculum includes broad exposure to adult, pediatric, maternal, mental health, and community nursing. Graduates are prepared for the NCLEX-RN. Compared with larger Louisville-area programs, Spalding is often known for smaller cohorts, close faculty support, and strong local clinical connections. Its nursing program also carries CCNE accreditation.

Programs
A BSN is a 4-year university RN degree, widely preferred by employers and required for many advanced roles, whose graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN.
An MSN is a 2–3 year graduate degree that prepares RNs for advanced practice, leadership, and specialized roles such as nurse practitioner or nurse educator.
A DNP is the highest clinical nursing degree, taking 2–4 years, preparing nurses for advanced practice, executive leadership, and policy roles—distinct from the research-focused PhD.
A post-graduate APRN certificate is a 12–24 month credential that lets MSN-prepared nurses add or change an advanced practice specialty without earning a second degree.
