A medication aide working with Nursa provides basic care and helps patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Medication aids work in a variety of nursing and residential care facilities, long-term care centers, assisted living facilities (ALFs), hospitals, home healthcare services, and more.

CRMA Responsibilities:

Allowing for some variation in duties from one work setting to another, the following are typical responsibilities of CRMAs:

  • Administer medications according to their physician's orders,  provide personal and medical care, and obtain vital signs.
  • Be a source of emotional and social support to patients
  • Offer any other support needed to facility staff
  • Present your best self to patients, families, and facility staff on behalf of Nursa

CRMA Qualifications:

Here are basic qualifications and important skills for CRMAs working with Nursa:

  • Current, active CRMA certification
  • CPR or BLS certification
  • Ability to provide physical assistance to patients as needed
  • Desire to do nursing in a way that benefits you AND the patient
