Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas, is a private, four-year university with a pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The curriculum is campus-based and combines classroom study, simulation, and supervised clinical rotations. Students develop core skills in health assessment, pharmacology, patient safety, evidence-based practice, communication, leadership, and holistic care across adult, pediatric, maternal, mental health, and community settings. The traditional BSN follows a four-year plan, and an accelerated option is available for second-degree students who want a faster path into nursing.
The program prepares graduates for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam and emphasizes professional ethics, compassionate service, and readiness for bedside practice. TLU’s nursing program is accredited by the CCNE and approved by the Texas Board of Nursing. Compared with larger nearby programs, it offers a smaller, more personal setting with close faculty support and a strong liberal arts foundation.
