Nursa Partners With Kesem for Summer Camp Nurses
Summer is right around the corner, and for most, that typically means planning a vacation or organizing extracurricular activities that can only be enjoyed in the hot summer months. For the nonprofit organization Kesem, it means gearing up to provide a safe, supportive, and fun summer camp experience for children struggling with the anxious reality of having a parent with cancer.
About Camp Kesem
Kesem has over 120 chapters nationwide that provide supportive services to children of people with cancer. These services include Camp Kesem, which provides an unforgettable week-long summer camp experience for children as young as six and up to 18 years old. Camp nurses are essential team members for any summer camp, and that’s where Nursa comes in.
When Camp Kesem needs nurses, they turn to Nursa.
Nursa Supports Camp Kesem
For the last few summers, Nursa has helped Camp Kesem source registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) in their summer camp locations across the US. These camp opportunities offer nurses the chance to utilize their nursing skills in a unique direct-service way for a week-long commitment (usually four to six days).
