Increasingly, investors are interested in promising recruitment solution businesses, particularly those that address a psychology and science data component. Last year, Nursa completed an impressive $80 million Series B funding round. Series B funding begins when a startup has proved successful and is ready to take its business to the next level.
Molly Bonakdarpour, general partner of Drive Capital, the Columbus, Ohio-based venture capital firm that led Nursa’s Series B round, was quoted saying, “Recruiting firms — even ones with technology — are severely limited in their ability to find specialized nurses with experience and credentials to fit their patient needs,” She goes on to say, “Typically, these groups are limited to their existing networks, require contracts and can’t staff for true per diem, increasing unnecessary costs for providers.”
Today, Nursa, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, has secured $100 million in funding, paving the way for even more development and growth. Nursa is a healthcare staffing platform that helps qualified nurses connect to local clinics and pick up per diem shifts. With a national network of over 200,000 nursing professionals filling PRN shifts in 35 states, Nursa has shown investors that it doesn’t have the same limits as other recruitment firms.
