Nursa Headquarters has been lit up in red all week in honor of National Nurses Week.
Our headquarters is one of over 200 buildings nationwide—but the only one in Utah—participating in the Nurses Light Up the Sky initiative. This campaign by the American Nurses Enterprise aims to shine a light on The Power of Nurses.
What is the purpose of Nurses Light Up the Sky?
Lighting up the sky is just one way to honor nurses by raising awareness among our communities and recognize everything they do to support patients in need.
“At Nursa, we're lighting up the sky for National Nurses Week because nurses deserve to be seen, celebrated, and supported. Every day, they show up with skill and heart. We're proud to be a platform that's a part of their nursing journey.”
- Krishna Floisand, Community Manager
These beautifully lit-up landmarks during National Nurses Week (May 6–12) serve numerous purposes:
- They honor nurses
- They generate awareness in the wider community
- They create press opportunities, which bring even greater visibility to nurses’ invaluable role and daily challenges
- They inspire social sharing—use the hashtags #ThePowerOfNurses and #NursesLightUpTheSky
- Finally, these landmarks are perfect for meet-ups and mobilization during National Nurses Week
Lighting up in blue for Student Nurses Day
On May 8th for National Student Nurses Day, Nursa partnered with Utah State University’s nursing program to light the headquarters building in blue for the evening. USU also lit up the large ‘A’ on top of the Old Main building on campus.
The one-night display recognized nursing students across the nation who are completing their education and clinical training, eventually joining the workforce as licensed nursing professionals.
The collaboration with USU highlighted the connection between the nursing profession's future and the support systems that help students transition into practice. While the red lighting continued throughout National Nurses Week to honor working nurses, the blue display on May 8th marked a moment specifically for those still on their way.

Why light up the Nursa Headquarters?
The Nursa Headquarters building is located at 5295 South Commerce Drive in Murray, Utah, along I-15 near Intermountain Medical Center. It's accessible by freeway and within walking distance of the Murray Central Frontrunner/TRAX Station.
Its visibility from the freeway—a steel-and-glass tower with floor-to-ceiling windows—made it a natural choice for the light-up campaign, ensuring the display reached a wide audience of commuters and residents throughout Nurses Week.
