About Curry College

Curry College provides a wide array of pathways into nursing, catering to both first-time students and career changers. The traditional BSN is a direct-entry program known for its "Curry Commitment," which guarantees a job after graduation. For those with a prior non-nursing degree, Curry offers two distinct options: a 16-month Accelerated BSN (ACCEL) and a 20-month Accelerated Entry MSN (AE-MSN). The AE-MSN is particularly prestigious, as it allows students to enter the profession with a Master’s degree, preparing them for immediate leadership roles. The upcoming Labouré Center for Advancing Healthcare Opportunity at Curry will serve as a dedicated hub for the transitioning Associate degree students, ensuring that Labouré’s 135-year mission of serving adult learners and diverse populations continues seamlessly on Curry’s Milton campus.

The program is centered in a high-tech learning environment that has been re-endorsed through 2030 by the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). The simulation labs feature high-fidelity manikins and realistic clinical suites that allow students to master complex scenarios—from acute respiratory distress to labor and delivery—in a controlled setting. Clinical rotations are a significant strength, with Curry students placed in world-class Boston hospitals, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This elite clinical exposure, combined with a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio in clinical settings, ensures that "Curry Nurses" are among the most recruited in the Commonwealth.

Compared to other private colleges in Massachusetts, Curry is distinguished by its generous transfer policy (accepting up to 90 credits) and its specialized Perioperative 101 Certificate for RNs looking to enter surgical nursing. As of early 2026, the college is also a recipient of a $2.3 million federal grant to launch an inclusive transition program, further emphasizing its focus on student success and workforce readiness. Admission to the ACCEL and AE-MSN programs requires a 2.7 and 3.0 minimum GPA respectively, along with core science prerequisites like Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology.
