Labouré has long been the "nurses' college" of Boston, specializing in flexible education for working adults and healthcare workers (like CNAs and LPNs) looking to advance. The ASN program is its flagship, providing a concept-based curriculum that can be completed in two years with day or evening options. For those already practicing, the RN-to-BSN is a 100% online, flexible track. Under the 2026 transition agreement, current students will move to the newly established Labouré Center for Advancing Healthcare Opportunity at Curry College, which will preserve Labouré’s mission of accessible, equitable nursing education for non-traditional students.
The clinical training at Labouré is centered in a high-tech Simulation and Nursing Learning Lab Center. This facility allows students to practice complex care on high-fidelity manikins—capable of mimicking real-time physiological distress—before moving into clinical rotations. Labouré's clinical network is one of the most extensive in New England, with students placed in premier Boston-area hospitals such as Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, and Tufts Medical Center. The efficacy of this hands-on model is proven by the college's outcomes; despite the national dip in pass rates in 2025, Labouré maintained an 87% NCLEX-RN pass rate, significantly exceeding the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing's 80% threshold.
Compared to other private colleges in Massachusetts, Labouré is distinguished by its "Success Coaching" model, which provides intensive tutoring and mentoring specifically designed for students juggling families and full-time jobs. Admission for the 2026 cycle remains holistic but rigorous, requiring a 2.7 minimum GPA and minimum TEAS scores (69% Reading, 63% Math). As the college transitions to Curry College, graduates will benefit from being part of one of the largest and most comprehensive nursing schools in the region, offering a seamless path from Associate to Master’s level education.
