Fisher College occupies a set of historic townhouses on Beacon Street in Boston's Back Bay, facing the Public Garden. Founded in 1903 as a business school, it has operated for more than a century as a small private institution and now offers associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Enrollment stays modest, and the college draws heavily from the Boston area and surrounding communities, with a mission oriented toward students who are working, commuting, or returning to school.
Programs emphasize applied, career-directed study across business, criminal justice, psychology, human services, and health-related fields, delivered on campus and through online and hybrid formats. Small class sizes mean close faculty contact, and the downtown Boston location places students within reach of one of the country's densest concentrations of hospitals, employers, and internship sites. Compared with Massachusetts public colleges and larger private universities, Fisher offers a smaller and more personal environment structured around flexibility for students balancing school with work.
