Nurses’ week this year changed numerous situations for nurses, from how society sees their hard work to the recognition from hospitals, the whole of society, and even branded companies that were affected by the last two years by the COVID-19 pandemic in plenty of ways. Nurses perform extensive care for the sick, which also fills them with joy, and they stand firm in defending their rights and those of the sickest. It is a noble and admired profession worldwide and across the country. That is why we are always looking for ways to support their work and make it more simple, accessible, joyful, and bearable, thus being the reason for having the Nursa team present some of the free things that nurses can access in the winter of 2022.

There are plenty of positive sides to being a nurse, of course, and also opposing sides, but some of the positive sides are the little nurse perks that have been slowly emerging. For example, an incredible number of businesses offer discounts just for being a nurse, thus giving back to the nurses who give so much to society. Numerous associations have also emerged concerned about different aspects of nursing, from educational, social, networking, mental health, etc. Finally, nurses now have access to a variety of free services for nurses.

Where Can I Find Free Things for Nurses?

Plentiful stores and virtual spaces began to create free things accessible throughout 2022 for nurses. Every year the lists of free stuff they can access are renewed, but the variety of promotions, discounts, and free things available is a comprehensive list, just as nurses deserve. Some of the free stuff for nurses are:

  • Amazon is offering free kindle books for nurses to promote nurse education. You only need to be a nurse and have a nursing license to access these books. Some titles are Medical Terminology, Fundamentals of Nursing, a guide for travel nursing, and more.
  • Fjolk offers free shoes for nurses through a waiting list; all of their pieces are comfortable and versatile.
  • Talkspace offers free therapy groups for nurses, which are generally easy to access. Nurses’ mental health is important, and to be able to talk to someone, to share with other health professionals who live the same situations as nurses, and therefore share their problems, creating a support group through these spaces, is extremely important.
  • Mask Match offers masks through a service that connects nurses with people who want to donate masks.
  • By filling out a form, Preppi is offering N95 masks to healthcare workers who need them.
  • First Descents has arranged free trips to connect with nature for nurses and healthcare professionals most affected by the covid-19 pandemic. First Descents also offers kayak trips, mountain trekking, and more through its hero recharge for healthcare professionals.
  • If they are in New York, nurses can access a free one-hour cycling service to go to hospitals quickly in emergencies via city bike.
  • Jins Eyewear glasses offer a maximum number of lenses per day for nurses, there may be a bit of a long waiting list, but the quality of the lenses makes it worth it.
  • Overstock is offering on its website free memberships for healthcare staff and nurses. Their membership includes various benefits, such as free shipping or free returns.
  • Template Ready provides a free medical symbol template for PowerPoint presentations for nurses to use when needed. Frequently, nurses need to save time in their presentations, and thanks to this symbol, they can make them simpler and faster to concentrate on the content of their presentation since the aesthetics are solved.

Promotions and Other Nurse Freebies

Promotions for nurses are varied. As you can see, there are quite a few free services that nurses can access, but there are also several discounts at different retailers and stores that nurses can access. Most promotions are valid for a limited time, but others remain active for much longer.

During the nursing week, these promotions were created: educational advancements such as scholarships or books to staying in a hotel for a few nights to obtain pampering services and receive well-deserved rest for nurses. Next year, nurses must stay tuned to the nursing page so they won’t miss out on the unique promotions that were held.
