QMAP Responsibilities:
Typical QMAP duties relate to manipulating and administering medication, including the following tasks:

• Administer medications to patients by the various routes (oral, ophthalmic, otic, nasal, inhalant, transdermal, and topical) according to a physician’s orders
• Fill and administer medications from medication reminder boxes under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional
• Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the medications
• Educate patients on their medications
• Maintain proper documentation of the administration of both prescription and nonprescription drugs
• Maintain safety standards and infection control procedures
• Store and dispose of medication appropriately

QMAP Qualifications:

QMAPs working with Nursa must have the following qualifications and skills:

• Holding a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Completing a QMAP training course and passing the respective examination
• Following oral and written instructions 
• Possessing effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Working as part of a team
