Caregiver Responsibilities:

Although caregiver responsibilities can vary from one setting to another, the following are typical duties of caregivers:

• Provide companionship and quality personal care
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing and grooming
• Assist with housekeeping tasks, such as dishwashing and sweeping 
• Ensure patient safety
• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients
• Provide accurate observations of patients’ needs to supervisors and/or family members
• Create timely and accurate documentation

Caregiver Qualifications:‍

Nursa caregivers have the following qualifications and skills:

• A current Caregiver license
• BLS and CPR certification
• Experience in specialty depending on the job
