What Is An LPN?

A licensed practical nurse (LPN) is a person who has completed a degree in nursing and passed the national exam for licensing. Where Do LPNs Work?

LPNs work at different healthcare facilities, such as hospitals, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, rehab facilities, private practices, and home health.

Typical Duties Performed By LPNs:

Tasks an LPN may perform vary due to what facility an LPN works in. The duties of an LPN may also vary due to the state they work in because states vary in what an LPN is permitted to do. In some states, an LPN can administer medications and perform IV therapy while supervising less experienced personnel, whereas other states don't allow LPNs to perform these functions.

What is an LPV Vs. An LVN?

LPN and LVN are nothing more than titles for the same job in different places. For example, this position is referred to as LVN in Texas and California, whereas in most other states, they use the title LPN.

What is IV Certification For LPN Jobs in Idaho Falls?

There are courses an LPN can take to obtain an IV certification. After completing the lessons in intravenous therapy, you can apply for your certification through a professional nursing association. In the course, you will study the following:
